The training system offered by PWK to Employees provides a number of training courses required at the position as well as courses that aim to developing other Employee skills. Moreover, this system offers Employees possibilities of continuous development throughout their job career in our Company.

PWK Training System comprises the following types:

  1. internal training,
  2. external training.

The job training covers all new hires and aims at getting them acquainted with work safety at their workplace and the Working Regulations.

The purpose of the periodic EHS training is to acquire or update EHS knowledge and skills and get familiar with new related technical and organizational solutions.

Ethics is a central value at UTC and therefore, there is extensive training opportunities being made available to understand ethical requirements and to perform work in accordance with our code of Ethics. The training in UTC Code of Ethics is obligatory for all new hires.

New hires at the Production, Quality Inspection, Maintenance and Toolroom undergo a cycle of training dealing with such issues as workplace documentation, engineering drawing, CNC machine tool programming, measuring tools and the Quality System requirements.

Annually, all PWK Employees are trained in the Quality and EHS Management System in place in PWK.

The Operator Certification Program ensures all PWK operators are trained in the Quality Management System requirements as well as their job skills. As part of their assignments, operators can approve their work as personnel who are aware of the significance and importance of their contribution to achieving quality objectives.

The Scholar Program launched in Pratt & Whitney Kalisz in 1999 is an exceptional and unique opportunity to work and get educated at the same time!

No matter whether the Employee has a definite, indefinite or replacement term contract of employment, half or full time, they can enjoy this wonderful chance of development and professional excellence, fulfill their dream of studying at state or private schools accredited by the Ministry of National Education.

What does PWK offer under the Scholar Program? Reimbursement:

  1. 100% recruitment fees,
  2. 100% studying fees,
  3. 100% seminar fees (if compulsory for course fulfillment, but excluding travel expenses),
  4. 100% compensatory fees,
  5. 100% costs of handbooks required at a given semester,

The Scholar Program participants who are awarded the degree of bachelor, master, MBA or PhD can choose the reward of either ordinary UTC shares or UTC stock options.
